Orapa Salt & Pepper Diamond Gold Necklace
A small, rustic diamond necklace built around a 1.7 carat salt and pepper diamond from the Orapa mine in Botswana. Orapa is only about an hour from where I taught art in the Peace Corps, so this stone feels especially connected to a place that is still very much part of me.
The diamond is set in a hand-cut serrated bezel of 18k gold, with additional 18k gold accents at the chain. I used 14k gold for the fine chain itself because it gives such a delicate necklace the strength and durability I want it to have.
Quiet, imperfect and completely one of a kind.
