This is one of the most beautiful tourmalines I’ve worked with. I’d almost call it watermelon, except the color is pink and blue rather than pink and green. The wide bullet-shaped cut — somewhere between a chunky tongue cut and a tapered tablet — really shows off the saturation and natural zoning in the stone.

The tourmaline hangs from the top in an 18k gold bezel with a playful sterling silver mounting. If you saw me at a show this summer, there’s a good chance I was wearing this necklace. I wore it constantly, and I’m only putting it up for sale now.
